There are no “Lone Ranger” consultants at CGS. Every client works with a team composed of a Campaign Consultant and a Client Service Coordinator as well as the Senior Consultant/Owner. We are best when “iron sharpens iron.”
Our History
Dwight Eisenhower was President of United States. It was 10 years before a man landed on the moon. In 1959, Church Growth Services was founded in South Bend, Indiana, where we’ve been continuously based ever since. Our first church capital campaign was conducted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in 1964. Since our founding, our only clients have been church congregations considering major capital projects.
From the 1960s to the 1980s, CGS developed a comprehensive suite of consulting services to serve church congregations and nonprofit organizations: strategic planning, architecture/design, and capital campaign consulting. Our prior involvement in these related services provides an additional benefit to our clients, allowing us to effectively collaborate with the other professionals on your team.
Since 1990, we have focused on campaign consulting. By doing so, we have rapid response times for meetings, assuring our clients of a very personalized and hands-on consulting partnership.
Today, CGS is a vibrant campaign consulting firm combining the experiences gained over six decades with a relentless pursuit of delivering our services in a culturally relevant way. We believe God has even more in store for our next chapter.
